Favonius. What a guy! This morning, I was puzzling over the Cabal of Life, a temple in the newly-discovered city of Istarion. You can't get into it unless you're an initiate of the Order of Life..of course the priestess will give you a quest to do if you want to become one.
I finished THAT quest and she pointed me to another person who only spoke the local language, Tsol'dasi. And I couldn't understand a word of it.
Later I asked Favonius about it and he said that there was a quest he did not figure out yet, but was in the process of. And he needed some help. So just tonight, I teamed up with him and we figured out the quest of the Two Trees! And you do not get hints. So HA!
What's the prize? It's a SUR-PRISE. But it is sooo cool. Long story short, now I'm in the process of becoming an initiate of the Order of Life, which involved first the Achaean quest and then the Tsol'dasi quest, both of which I managed to finish. I just hope this doesn't conflict with the Divine Order of Sleep and Dreams..we'll see. And if it does, I'll ask my Lady to fix it for me. Hmm..I really hope it doesn't conflict.
Sarita is now the third to learn the Tsol'dasi language, Favonius being the second.

New Friends and Gaia
Hello, everyone! I'm just feeling in a posty kind of mood. Not postal. Posty! I just wanted to comment on a few things (and of course, post links to other places which I can talk about later).
First off though, I'd like to say that I have been getting to know a bunch of new people as friends: Elone, Ashlean, Illydwen and others. Of course, so far only Illydwen is a mutually -official- friend friend, but it's the others are becoming good friends unofficially also.
I also JUST discovered Gaia Online like yesterday. And I've been exploring like crazy around there.
Here's what I made my character look like:

You can see the full profile page at:
http://www.gaiaonline.com/profiles/28768553
So far I'm just now figuring it out, so if I'm a little off on technique, that's why. Anyways, hope you all are doing well also!

October
Wowee! I haven't posted here in quite a while. And I started about this time last year it seems. Anyway, I -would- make this longer if I had time, but I have to leave like right now.
Just searching through Google for stuff on IC players. Not to cheat on quests or anything, just to read up and find stuffs.
Anyway, hopefully more later!

TFG Updates
There have been a TON of major updates to the Fairy Garden.
1) MCP-Server finally sent me an email saying they were shutting down free service at the end of October. So with this confirmed, I opened up a new service with Vermaxhosting. And they didn't let me pick my own port, so the online service, whenever it's on is at:
Address: vermaxhosting.com
Port: 9304
2) I've also been hosting the server from my own laptop with a free DNS thingy.. That is at:
Address: fairygarden.no-ip.org
Port: 3349
3) We have a new player: Lynara, from Achaea, who has actually been debugging a TON of stuff within the last week. It seems to be her area of expertise. But of course, I've told her not to break the world..just a few bugs at a time please!! ;)
4) We've upgraded to 1.8.4p1. Fun fun.
5) I want a TON like I said I had, so here's a fifth bullet point.
Anyway, I can't think...no wait. oh here's something else.
6) The localhost fairygarden.no-ip.org one even has a nice website with wiki and Shimmie and I already announced this didn't I? Yes I did. I recall seeing the Shimmie tag in one of my previous posts. Never mind. Carry on.
Anyway, I can't think of anything else right now..so take care and have fun.

An even newer herb guide! And more.
The Herb Guide is now updated to version 3! This includes a nice script that will price up groups of herbs for your shop's stockroom. It also gives you a line to paste in for a 'drop all groups of this type and number and price them all at the price calculated.'
Note that the cells that concatenate the paste-string together are multiple-line cells, and will be injected with quotation marks at the beginning and end, so those will need to be stripped off in a text editor before pasted into your stockroom script.
Also, note that the gdrop alias I wrote is a client-side script that drops a number of groups all in a row without balance loss. This is the best thing for stockrooms, as someone can break in relatively easily if someone is inside.

New Herb Guide
Now that Firien's found my herb guide, I got to thinking about it a bit and came up with a great new idea! How about if I make it calculate prices by using a discount percentage!
So I did. I added another page to the price guide that will allow you to enter friend discount, house (org) discount, and everyone discount from the Oakstone minimum. And this will ripple all the way through everything in your list.
Also, I added another column that lets you set an absolute minimum you will be willing to part with the herb for. For the economist, this is a price floor. If the discount pushes the final price below the minimum, the minimum will kick in and force the price back up. Of course, this is a requirement in the case of Mending and Restoration which require Rurin-set diamond dust and a set gold value respectively.
In addition to all this, I did a few minor edits that prevent you from selecting and editing the grey areas. However, I haven't done this for copyright reasons and so the sheet protection is without a password. In Excel, you can just Tools/Protection/Unprotect Sheet and everything will be normal.
Anyhow, these new features have been added to the whole file. The old one is still included if you don't like the new features.
I suppose you still want it, eh?

Kongregate
So I was playing on Kongregate a bit and ran across this link!
http://www.kongregate.com/games/kingk/dream-world?kv_refuid=99459
Yes, it's a dumb RPG game, totally under-par with Achaea and horrible with graphics, but I find it kinda fun and I like having something easy to come to after a long hard day of losing out in Achaea or some other crazy ordeal.

Websites Websites Websites
I love websites. I love how they don't work sometimes and you have to find backups!
So I've been trying to get my fairy garden thing together. But my free host keeps shutting off..like...they run out of money to keep it online, so they just turn the server off or something. Therefore I have kind of switched over fully to my backup system. It'll be easier to maintain anyway.
And on top of THAT, I can create a better fully-featured website to provide an information portal.
The information for the new server is:
HTTP: http://fairygarden.no-ip.org
Telnet: fairygarden.no-ip.org
Port: 3349
It will not be on every day all day for a number of reasons, but if it is on, everything will be available to you.

Boats
Whee!! New boat! I bought myself (after probably a year or more of saving up) a windcutter.
I didn't know about that neat prompt line either until I got on board for the first time and then I freaked out. And I've written a really neat MUSHClient miniwindow script to display all the information from the cryptic prompt into a graphical format! Lemme see. I have a screenshot around here someplace.
http://cid-95ca1e074aa3e174.skydrive.live.com/self.aspx/.Public/MUSHClient/ShipCompass04.PNG
It's a screenshot of a test run in the Fairy Garden where I can put my own values in and that's why there's 15 wind but I'm not moving at all...But in any case, that's what it looks like!
Current goal: catch up all the deepsea bait Stephine gave me yesterday, plus the stuff I caught myself, which is like 30-40 total. And also, work crew wages down to something more reasonable (it's at like 210g per day right now and I noticed that the house ship is super-low and the crew is happy with it anyway) without dropping below simmering mood, which is where they're at right now.
Yay! How fun is this! :)
